Andrew Levinson, MD is a physician, psychiatrist, body worker, and yogi.  As an expert in Functional Medicine and Orthomolecular Psychiatry, his naturalistic approach involves metabolic, immune, detoxification and nutritional therapies to address the root causes of illness as opposed to solely treating symptoms.

His vast exposure and studies with Kundalini Yoga Master; Yogi Bhajan,  pioneers in Orthomolecular Psychiatry & Complementary Medicine (e.g. Abrahm Hoffer MD and Bernie Rimland, Ph.D.) and an array of healers, shamans and body workers led him to specialize in diverse areas of medicine.  Bringing to bare all his expertise, he works with each patient to create a cohesive treatment plan to engender mind/body balance, resolve chronic ailments, prevent illness and stave off undue aging.

Well known for his approach to reversing the aging process, specialized work with trauma survivors and professional athletes, ability to help patients find safe alternatives to high dose psychotropic medications and dynamic and potent psychotherapy therapy with individuals and couples; Dr. Levinson’s incredibly effective work with learning disabled & developmentally delayed children is perhaps the most dramatic.

He is also a gifted speaker  and lectures to patient groups and clinicians internationally in the areas of Nutritional Medicine, Biomedical Approaches to Autism and ADHD, Psychodynamic Bodywork, Yogic Meditation and Spiritual Psychology. Dr. Levinson received his Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology and his Medical Doctorate from the University of Miami School Of Medicine.  During his psychiatric residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, he received the Pharmacia & Upjohn Research Award for original research in the area of Alternative Medicine. He was a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine and is the founder and director of Vitality Health and Wellness.
